Hey Typhoon Families!

Thursday Practice Update:

We have received the latest update from the HOA that the pool will be repaired and reopen tomorrow. However, we don't know when. At this time, we are still on schedule for tomorrow's practice. We will update you should the pool repairs take longer than expected.

Green & White Intrasquad Meet:

Don't forget that this Saturday morning (June 12) is our Green & White Intrasquad meet. This is a mock swim meet will serve as a practice run for parents, volunteers, the coaches, and of course, the kids. We want to make sure we are ready for our first Home Meet, which is just 6 days away (June 15).

Everyone will need to be at the pool no later than 7:45 am.  The meet will begin at 8:00 am and should not last past 10:00 am. If you plan to attend this meet, please RSVP online by clicking HERE. In addition, we will have donuts available for all swimmers when they are finished swimming.

Below are a few of the main things we want to take away from this event.

• Swimmers will swim each stroke; Free, Back, Breast, and Fly (6&Unders do not swim Fly)
• We will assess all swimmers for times and determine if their strokes are legal.
• Swimmers will learn the staging process for their event, how to line up behind their lanes, what the instructions mean that are given by the Meet Starter (i.e. swimmers on the block, swimmers take your mark, etc...), know when to leave the block/wall at the sound of the starter's horn, and experience what it's like to race.
• Parents will learn and understand the meet process and the HOA safety protocols that we must adhere to.
• Volunteers will gain a better understanding of their volunteer position(s).
