We hope you had a great and safe Memorial Day weekend.   Just a quick update regarding our annual Green & White Intrasquad Meet.  Please read!

Green & White Intrasquad Meet:

Mark your calendars for next Tuesday, June 7 for our Annual Green & White Intrasquad meet. This is a mock swim meet that will serve as a practice run for parents, volunteers, the coaches, and of course, the kids. We want to see how ready we are for our first swim meet, which is June 14.

Everyone will need to be at the pool no later than 5:30 pm for swimmer check-in and warmups. The meet will begin at 6:00 pm and should last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.  If you plan to attend this meet, please RSVP online by clicking HERE. 

VOLUNTEERS!  This is a perfect time to sign up for a volunteer position for the Green & White Meet.  We need volunteers for all positions and you can sign up by Clicking Here! Don't worry if you're not sure what a position does, that's what this meet is for...to teach you how the volunteer jobs work and what's required.  

Below are a few of the main things we want to take away from this event.

• Swimmers will swim each stroke; Free, Back, Breast, and Fly (6&Unders do not swim Fly)
• We will assess all swimmers for times and determine if their strokes are legal.
• Swimmers will learn the staging process for their event, how to line up behind their lanes, what the instructions mean that are given by the Meet Starter (i.e. swimmers on the block, swimmers take your mark, etc...), know when to leave the block/wall at the sound of the starter's horn, and experience what it's like to race.
• Parents will learn and understand the meet process and the HOA safety protocols that we must adhere to.
• Volunteers will gain a better understanding of their volunteer position(s).
