Typhoons families, 

Even though we’ve had some chilly weather and cold water, we hope everyone’s been having a good time so far. 

As a team, we’ve been working hard alongside our very own Durant Trails HOA to ensure we have the best and safest season possible. However, to ensure that, the HOA and the Typhoons feel it is imperative to obey the pool rules, which have been made publicly available and can be found at Durant Trails Pool Rules

Some of the rules we wish to highlight are the following: 

While lifeguards are not on duty, no child under 18 years of age will be allowed to swim without adult supervision. That means that if it is not time for a specific child’s swim practice, it is strictly prohibited for that child to enter the water unless they have an adult present at the pool. 

If lifeguards are on duty (which will not occur for times during the week until later in the season), a child between the ages of 12-15 will be allowed to swim without an adult present if, and only if, a signed waiver has been presented for that child. The waiver can also be found on the website posted earlier in this communication. 

Finally, rough play and balls such as footballs, baseballs, and tennis balls are also prohibited. We kindly ask that if your child is using the pool outside of their practice time, please help your community by ensuring that this rule is strictly adhered to.
