Our last AWAY dual meet is here! Below are the need-to-know details for our swim meet against the Hawthorne Stingrays.

Typhoons Meet Lineup - The lineups for tomorrow were posted at tonight's practice, but if you missed it, you can find them HERE. Just remember, an “M” indicates Main Heat, and an “E” indicates Exhibition Heat.  

Pool Location: 

• 12309 Whartons Way, Raleigh, NC 27613. - Directions

Arrival Time/Warm-up: Please arrive at the Hawthorne swim pool by 5 pm. Swimmer check-in will be from 5 pm to 5:30 pm. Warmups begin at 5:30.

Parking- Hawthorne has a decent sized parking lot, but if they run out of spots you may park on N. Hawthorne Way along the pool and parking lot. They do ask that no one parks in the yard of the neighbors around the pool. There should be plenty of space on N. Hawthorne Way along the pool.

Typhoons Team Area: The Hawthorne pool has a fairly large deck, so there should not be a concern about space. Typically the visiting team will be on the far side of the pool, near the diving well, but we should be able to have overflow into the area near the shallow end in front of the bathrooms.

Food/Concessions:  The Hawthorne Concessions will be open and concessions open and grilling burgers and hot dogs. They will also have pizza from Schianos for sale along with a variety of other goodies, so feel free to arrive hungry! :)

Cupcake Race:  There will be a "Cupcake Race" after the breaststroke events where all 6 & unders can 'attempt' to swim butterfly the length of the pool.  As a reward, all who participate will receive a tasty cupcake. Any 6&under that wants to try this, assisted or unassisted, are welcome to line up and swim this fun event.  

Parent/Coach Relay:  We will be participating in a parent/coach relay at the end of the meet.  If you are a parent and can swim (no professional swimming experience necessary, but it is a plus!) and you are interested in participating, please let us know.  I can't promise anything, but maybe there will be some extra tasty cupcakes just for participating!
