Hey Typhoon Families!

Tomorrow we will be visiting Meredith Townes for our third swim meet. We have a lot of people out this week so we will need many swimmers to step up in important positions. It is going to a be HOT day. With our numbers being lower than usual and Meredith Townes already being a smaller team, we are hoping to run a quick meet and escape the heat quickly! As it will be stated below, we highly recommend bringing your own shade/chairs and bringing additional snacks and food. Below is important information regarding the meet.

Please arrive no later than 5:15 pm for swimmer check-in as our warmups will start promptly at 5:30 pm.

Directions, Parking, and Seating

Meredith Townes is located at 3250 Morningside Drive, Raleigh. Visiting teams are welcome to park in our pool lot, the lot on Westbury Drive, and street parking. Please remember that parking is prohibited within 25 feet of an intersection, such as Morningside,Wycliff, Morningside and Westbury. Parking is prohibited within 15 feet of a fire hydrant and, as a courtesy, we encourage you to park several feet from driveways and court entrances.

The visitor area is to the left after entering the pool. Seating will be removed from the deck. Bring your own chair and shade, this area is in the sun. Consider bringing a blanket (and bug spray) and spectating from The Hill.

Concessions

The Snack Shack sells pizza, drinks, and snacks. The nearby Lake Boone Shopping Center includes McDonalds, Chick-fil-A, and many other options.

Parent Relay

Due to the hot temperatures, Meredith Townes will be hosting a Coaches and Parent Relay at the end of breaststroke. If four parents are interested in cooling off and showing off their swimming skills, please email back or find Coach Jack at practice tonight!
