Happy Memorial Day! A reminder, there is no practice tonight.
Green and White Meet
Our annual Green & White Intrasquad meet is just three days away on Thursday, May 29th. This mock meet will serve as a practice run for parents, volunteers, coaches, and, of course, the kids. We want to see how ready we are for our first swim meet on June 10th against Hasentree.
Everyone will need to be at the pool no later than 5:30 pm for swimmer check-in and warmups. The meet will begin at 6:00 pm and should last approximately 1.5 hours. If you plan to attend this meet, please RSVP online by clicking HERE or through the SwimTopia app by following the RSVP instructions.
Volunteers
We could not have swim meets without your support and truly appreciate your willingness to put the time in to make this season a success. The Green & White Meet is also a great opportunity to become familiar with the volunteer roles!
We have included information about these volunteer roles on the Typhoons website and the Typhoons YouTube channel. Once you have a good understanding of what role suits you best, please visit our signup genius link below to sign up.

Meet Objectives
- Swimmers will swim each stroke: Free, Back, Breast, and Fly (6&Unders do not swim fly)
- We will assess all swimmers for times and determine if their strokes are legal.
- Swimmers will learn the staging process for their event, how to line up behind their lanes, what the instructions mean that are given by the Meet Starter (i.e. swimmers on the block, swimmers take your mark, etc...), know when to dive/jump in at the sound of the starter's horn, and experience what it's like to race.
- Parents will learn and understand the meet process and the HOA safety protocols that we must adhere to.
- Volunteers will gain a better understanding of their volunteer position(s).
